Cruciforms are subject to a high amount of wear. Drive is transmitted through the cruciform and the cruciform has to move around to change gears. In a 50 year old engine what could go wrong? Polini have decided to produce replacements with high quality steel with very high harness and resilience. The surface must be hard while the cross must be resistant to high shock loading. Polini believe they have found the right balance.
