The Yamaha Slider (EW50) was introduced by Yamaha in 1999.
The Slider features an air-cooled 2-stroke vertical engine produced by Motori Minarelli, the same engine as used in the Yamaha BWS. The Slider features a front Brembo hydraulic disc brake and rear cable-operated drum brake. The Slider is sold in other countries under the name MBK Stunt and the name perhaps suggests Yamaha's intention with the Slider was to introduce a small scooter that would not be damaged when dropped, making the Slider perfect for novice riders or riders wanting to attempt some tricks. In 2004 production of the Slider ceased and today less than 100 examples are on the road in the UK, making the Slider a rare piece of Yamaha's history.
