The smallframe series was introduced in 1963.
Vespa first introduced smallframe models in 1963 with the Vespa 50, 90/100. In 1965 Vespa introduced a smallframe with a 125cc engine called the 125 Nuova. In 1967 the Primavera (the season of spring) smallframe was introduced and later updated in 1976 and the suffix ET3 was added (Elettronica Travasi 3) with electric iginion and a cylinder with three transfer ports. In 1982 the smallframe range was updated with the PK.
