Description

Stage6 Streetrace 70cc cylinder kit for Piaggio/ Gilera 50cc 2-stroke scooters.

With the 70cc Streetrace grey cast iron cylinder series, Stage6 offer a bargain version of the popular Sport Pro Aluminium cylinder. The cylinder is stamped 49cc

The transfer port layout has been adopted from the high-performing Stage 6 70cc Sport Pro and slightly modified in order to fulfil the thermal demands of the cast iron cylinder. Stage6 have gone for a piston manufactured by the renowned Italian company Vertex Pistons.

The performance characteristics of the Streetrace mainly correspond to those of the Stage 6 Sport Pro; a bit more power when accelerating coupled with 0.5 hp less peak power but with slightly higher low down torque (wheelie power!). The ideal rpm range for the Stage 6 Streetrace kit is around 10,000 rpm. It is recommendable to use a 70cc sport exhaust system with an up-rated crankshaft. When it comes to looks, the cylinder is unobtrusive and similar to the stock part.

Use B8ES or BR8ES spark plug.

Question
  • Q. What size is the temp sensor that screws into the top of the engine?
  • A.

    M10x1.0mm

  • Q. Will this work with the new 2020 Euro-4 Piaggio NRG?
  • A.

Yes but you will need to use this adaptor to keep the original temperature sensor.

  • Q. Hi there the little nipple on the head of the barrel... does it need to be connected up and or can i just block it up?
  • A.

This is just a bleed nipple to let any air out of the cooling system after you have filled it. After filling just loosen the nipple to release any air until coolant comes out without bubbles and then just re-tighten to seal it.

  • Q. is it necessary to pre-mix the oil when using the Stage6 streetrace cylinder kit ?
  • A.

No, the Stage6 Streetrace big bore kits will work find with the original autolube system. Make sure to use a good quality fully synthetic 2-stroke though.
