Athena 80cc cylinder kit with exhaust valve for mopeds using the Minarelli AM6 50cc 2-stroke engine.

Athena have brought the game changer by producing a cylinder for the AM6 engine with an exhaust valve. The exhaust valve is closed at lower engine speeds which lowers the exhaust port making the engine produce more torque lower down the rev range. The diaphragm controlled valve opens at higher engine speeds which raises the exhaust port to produce more horse power higher up the rev range. This kit in combination with exhaust, carb and adjustments results in the engine preforming like a motocross engine.

For AM6 engines it is not necessary to modify the crankcases. (AM3-4-5 engines will need to have the cases machined to accept the cylinder) 

Included in the kit is the cylinder, head, piston, power valve system and all the necessary seals and gaskets for fitting.
