not really, fuel hose won't work because it is too large and also any pipe other than water pipe always goes very soft when it gets warm.
Maybe keep the original pipes but put some coloured heatshrink over them if you want to change the colour.
yes, it is quite flexible and will happily fit over both 5mm and 6mm inlets
