Description

Malossi is pleased to offer its new series of transmission gears for scooters, These new gears were created by exploiting 20-years experience in designing and building gears for competition and road scooters.
The new H.t.q. gears were designed and built with straight teeth to minimise losses through friction and stress on the supports. Moreover, These gears increase ratios slightly enabling you to exploit the full power of your scooter, thus significantly increasing its original performance potential.

14/39 teeth.

This will increase standard gearing by 27% (except on Piaggio Zip)
On Piaggio Zip this will increase standard gearing by 18%.

Does not fit Gilea DNA / Typhoon>2011 where the gear box is not accessed through the transmission cover.

Question
  • Q. Where does the small clip go that comes with this kit?
  • A.

It goes over the groove on the new primary shaft as extra security to hold the shaft in place (the original shaft does not have this groove).

  • Q. Does this gear-up kit require being pressed or can it just be fitting straight in?
  • A.

They will need to be pressed in, the only pre pressed ones available are the Stage6 ones depending on what model bike you have.

  • Q. hi i was just wondering would this gear up kit stop the harmful over revving on my piaggio zip sp i have i stage 6 street race bore with alot of other bits and pieces but haven't got round to fitting a gear up.
  • A.

you need one on there really,
see... do I need a gearup kit with a sport 70cc cylinder kit?
