Where a scooter or moped is restricted by the CDI, it is possible to achieve higher RPMs and top speed by simply connecting a new ignition CDI unit, such as this one offered by Motoforce Racing.

The original ignition is simply replaced with this non-restricted version. Available for many different models.

Attention: to make sure you choose the right version, please compare your scoot's plugs with the ones on the picture!
